Overview:
In a city filled with new BBQ restaurants, I was apprehensive about this place. I knew Bill Dec spent some time researching concepts for the menu, but he seems to have fallen onto the sidelines lately. Welcome back Billy!
We had a GREAT dinner. 3 of us decided to share several items. We started with the deviled eggs (good but nothing out of this world) and the pimento cheese, which was really good!
We then opted for a combination platter which included Ribs, Chopped Brisket and pulled pork. The ribs were by far our favorite, so amazing and charred perfectly. The food was great on its own, but the SAUCES...... they make the meal. 4 sauces are on every table, Regular, Spicy, Mustard and Asian. We quickly figured out that we liked the spicy and mustard mixed on just about everything. You can really drink the stuff. We hope it will soon be offered in bottles to take home!
Two other important notes. The drink menu is set on "moonshine" cocktails. We all had the One inch punch and while there was way too much ice and not enough drink, it was great!
Finally our side. The grilled asparagus with soy, siricha, sesame seeds. Oh my god, was this amazing. Must figure out recipe.
Will definitely be back, enjoyed ourselves immensely. (Great service btw!)
