Overview:
I come to Chicago regularly for conferences. Each time, I bring a group of friends here. The food is excellent, the ambiance is calm, and the location is just at the south end of the loop so it's not too crazy. The seared ahi with ponzu sauce appetizer and soft shell crab with mango salsa are excellent. I can't remember the name of my favorite roll, but it is actually composed of 2 slices of dynamite roll sandwiching a sliced scallop. So good. They also have an amazing cake which we just refer to as "the dome." It's not always on the menu, so you may have to ask for it. But make sure you do, it's not something you want to miss out on. We tend to get several dishes and it usually ends up being about $30-$35/ person, which is really not bad at all for Chicago sushi. Strongly recommend.
