Overview:

So I recently visited Revolution and it was worth every minute of starving wait time! We walked into a packed restaurant (on a Wednesday) and got seated about 30 mins later. Once we sat down, I took one look at the menu and my mouth started watering. The very first thing on the menu was Bacon Fat Popcorn.....first of all, you don't see many places with popcorn as an appetizer, so I was pleased as I LOVE savory popcorn. We also had the Eugene draught and though I'm allergic to beer, my boyfriend, Eugene, loved drinking a beer named after him.

We ordered the wings which were pretty hot in flavor, but were still delicious. I ordered the Bacon Fat Popcorn with freshly grated parmesan, bacon, and crispy sage and I also ordered their side of garlic cream cheese mashed potatoes. We didn't eat an entree because we both weren't planning on a full meal, but next time I go there, I am going to try the crispy pork belly with fried egg sandwich or the bacon crusted pork tenderloin since my mouth was watering just thinking about the pork product that could have been in my mouth....yum....

We had great service-not too pushy or bothersome and not too distant, though the people next to us didn't get their meal the entire time we were there and they sat down just about the same time we did. Fortunate for them, the manager came out and apologized profusely and offered them a half burger with a side each to hold them over and then said that their meal, whatever they wanted (alcohol included) was on the house. With such a busy place and a first come first serve basis, I can only assume this can happen from time to time, but its how the staff deals with these situations that makes them great. I'm sure those girls were upset until they found out they could eat until their heart's content for FREEE. Lucky gals.

I plan to frequent this place as often as I can until I make it through the entire menu and then more! I'm sure after that I will be asking them to create something for me special and pay extra for it, but I don't care, it was all delicious!

Overview:

I went here with a friend because she had recommended it to me, the food was delectable. So well made and prepared in an open kitchen, which I personally love....its like entertainment, education, and food all in one! I tried the fried pig ear and it wasn't what I expected, it was much better, tasted like gourmet pork rinds. We also had the fried manchengo cheese which was perfectly cooked. We enjoyed a nice glass of wine and great conversation as this place is great for people watching. The tables are close together and the crowd is young and old. Its a perfect spot for anyone looking for anything pig for dinner.

I got a honeydew melon fruit smoothie with my teriyaki chicken and pineapple fried rice and whoa was the food and drink to die for! Love this place for a quick and HUGE dinner!

I went here with my boyfriend on one of our monthly date nights to try a new place. 312 Chicago did not disappoint. We started with an assortment of complimentary breads and a tomato tapenade...so good! We got the baked goat cheese appetizer which we then spread on the assorted bread slices since it was a ricotta and goat cheese mixture. I had the ravioli with butternut squash ravioli with browned butter and sage...tasted so amazing and literally melted in my mouth. My boyfriend had the filet which was well made and tender. We also got the roasted brussels sprouts with gorgonzola and the potato cakes with chives. Those were perfect compliments to each of our dishes. We sipped on Sea Glass white wine and enjoyed a dessert of cant elope sorbet and flour less chocolate cake. All were mouth-watering and delectable. I'd recommend 100%!

Overview:

Well....I am not a huge fan of sushi, but my boyfriend is and so I usually just go along for the ride and try some things. I actually tried a shrimp roll and a sweet potato roll and it was amazing! While the decor and atmosphere weren't as I'd like, the food was well made and came fast. I'd recommend for sushi lovers.
