Overview:

I was lucky enough to come in this weekend to try the special Thanksgiving Gobbler. If you think this sounds a little too heavy for you, you're wrong! I was pleasantly surprised on how light the burger was! The turkey meat was very flavorful and the topping were delicious! Sage stuffing, spiced cranberry sauce and roasted turkey gravy, on a harvest wheat bun, with a side of sweet potato fries. Not to mention the sweet potato fries were topped with roasted marshmallows. It was the perfect mix of sweet and savory!

This special is only through Sunday so definitely head in and try it so you don't have to wait a whole year!

Drinks: Dan, the manager, suggested I try the "Plymouth Rock" cocktail: Plymouth gin, Cointreau, fresh orange juice, ginger infused ice “rock.” It was slightly sweet and the ginger rock slowly melted over time leaving a great taste as I enjoyed the drink!

We also ordered the Truffle Mushroom flatbread which is amazing and you can definitely take some home!

Definitely head to Burger Bar if you're in the mood for a burger or sandwich that is above the average bar food standard! We had a great meal and the service was very friendly as well!

Overview:

I went to Q a couple weeks ago and it has been one of my favorite all around dining experiences in Chicago so far. First of all, the service is amazing. Right after I finished my glass of wine the hostess noticed as she walked by and asked if she could get me another drink. It really shows the way they work as a team.

Instead of bringing bread to the table to snack on, they bring you these AMAZING bread & butter pickles. I could have eaten the whole bowl. They also bring you homemade potato chips which were really good as well.

We orded the wings, hush puppies, and fried green tomatoes for an appetizer- all were great, especially the tomatoes! For dinner I ordered the chicken and it was perfectly done and had a great tasting flavor to it. You could really tell it had been smoked. I got it with their cornbread with honey butter. Overall a great place to bring family or friends!

Overview:

I live across the street from this restaurant so it was an easy decision to try it out. They have a really great menu with a mix of burgers, sandwiches, salads as well as entrees such as salmon, scallops, short ribs, and much more. We both got some beers because it was $4 pint craft beer pint night. My friend and I split the Roasted Beets with Orange, Shaved Fennel and Goat Cheese. The beats could have been a little more 'roasted' but overall it was a great size. I ended up ordering the Chicken Vesuvio Sandwich..yes sandwich...with sweet potato fries. It was delicious! Shredded chicken with melted cheese and peppers on a hoagie bun. The fries were great as well.

My friend ordered the salmon sandwich with a side salad and really enjoyed it also. We both couldn't finish our meals so had to take it home but I will definitely be back on Thursday for half price bottles of wine night! I think they have a lot of other weekly specials as well and I am interested in trying their brunch which is a decently sized menu compared to other restaurants around Southport Corridor! Overview:

Pinkberry's yogurt is delicious and the best part is, it's guilt free! I like to mix it up. Sometimes I am in the mood for something sweeter like Salted Caramel but on a hot day their Original or Lychee is so satisfying! It isn't self serve like some of the other yogurt shops but it is always great quality and the employees are so friendly! The fruit is fresh and always freshly sliced. THey also offer parfaits, cones, and fruit cups for those who like to mix it up.

When Peanut Butter is in, do not pass it up! Top it with the chocolate crunch for an extra 50 cents, it's so worth it!

Overview:

I ate here for Brunch and it's a casual spot. The TOSTA SETAS (Marinated mushrooms, smoked ricotta, pine nuts) is so good the mushrooms are perfectly sautéed. We also orded the Mini sandwich of crushed egg, potato, Ibérico ham which is very good. The Ham croquettes and Lamb ragout w/ soft polenta, poached egg, tosta de queso de oveja are both amazing as well. THe scrambled egg sandwich with shrimp is good but not a favorite- the eggs were great but not sure if it went well with the shrimp flavoring.

Definitely order the flatbread of Sobrassada sausage, caramelized onion, Mahón cheese, quail eggs- it was my favorite!
