Overview:

Whether you are a meat eater or not, you will appreciate the flavors and tastes of Green Zebra. We have been coming here for years, and nearly every dish we've ever ordered has been delicious and balanced. It is not a place to take someone who "doesn't like mushrooms, cilentro, {insert random ingredients here}" because you just have to eat the dish as is to appreciate it!
We have brought many meat eaters here for a wonderful meal, and they have come back on their own!

Overview:

It was a lovely evening. Service was excellent and our food was fantastic. Butternut Squash Soup, a dish of all things onion, and tiny biscuits - all big winners! Wine pairings were fantastic as well.

On our second visit we sat at the bar - so fun!

Overview:

You know how you turn a kaleidoscope and shapes change, things become other things, and nothing looks normal or average? That was our evening at Schwa. We loved every minute there, and we had the pleasure of being the only people in the restaurant for quite some time. It was like the guys in the kitchen had shown up just to cook for us (that wasn't the case, but it felt like it for a while!) Unpretentious and beautifully plated food throughout the evening showed up - all carried to our table by the guys who made it. It felt like our buddies cooking for us - imagine them in the back of the kitchen coming up with one amazing dish after another, and then seeing how we liked it after each dish. They were just as excited about the food as we were. And they accommodated my vegetarian requests no problem!

Overview:

Never have I said "This is SO WEIRD!!! And GOOD!" so many times in one evening - or maybe ever. I just don't want to ruin it for anyone because part of the fun is the element of surprise of every course that comes out. From the friendly staff (someone on yelp said they were not friendly, and I could not disagree more) to the fantastic wine pairings - if you go, just DO it, I promise it's worth it- to the beautifully strange food, I actually admit, I tear up a little thinking about how fantastic that evening was. I also appreciate that as a vegetarian, I can participate in this amazing fine dining experience.

Our highlight was dessert and coming face to face with Grant Achatz. So memorable, and if you haven't read his book, I highly recommend that too! I hope we can go back sometime!

Overview:

We had a great meal at Fogon - really delicious appetizers and entrees with wonderful flavors! I had a veggie chille relleno, and I loved it b/c it had a squash filling, not just loaded with cheese. The highlight was the prickly pear creme brulee. The drinks were a bit sweet but other than that we loved it and will be back!
